We want to help promote a series of events and programs that put people at the heart of urban design and planning and explore a range of ideas, topics and issues.
Conversations can encompass anything from talks, site visits, walkabouts and workshops. Conversations could be strategic exploring the meaning of public realm in our society or focussed on detail such as practical highway adoption. There is no limit or editorial guidelines, other than that the activity should broadly fit under one of Tibbalds’ themes:
Themes relating to Francis Tibbalds’ book:
- Places Matter Most
- What are the Lessons from the Past?
- Mixing Uses and Activities
- Human Scale
- Pedestrian (and cycle) Freedom
- Access for All
- Making it Clear (legible environments)
- Lasting Environments
- Controlling Change
- Joining it all Together
