It is 25 years since Francis Tibbalds’ seminal ‘Making People-Friendly Towns’ was first published.
In Francis’ own words, from the preface of his book:
“It has always been easy to identify past mistakes. It is altogether more difficult to prescribe better ways of approaching the problem of making urban areas more user-friendly.”
It aims to stimulate debate and propose practical suggestions for continuing his work, to make sure that we create people-friendly places in the future.
